Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Ghostwriter lets you describe a song and instantly generates the lyrics. We keep this site simple: no accounts, no login, and we do not store the songs you create. This policy explains what happens to the text you submit and the cookies used for advertising and analytics.
What you submit
When you request a song, the description and options you type are sent to our server only to generate the lyrics. We do not save your input or the resulting song to any database — the result lives only in your browser for that session and is gone when you close the tab.
AI processing by Anthropic
To write your lyrics, the text you submit is sent to Anthropic, the third-party AI provider whose Claude model generates the song. Your input is processed by Anthropic for the sole purpose of producing the lyrics you requested. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your song descriptions. Anthropic's handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display ads. When you accept cookies, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies on your device and use them to serve and personalize ads based on your visits to this and other sites. We default these advertising cookies to offusing Google Consent Mode v2; they are only set after you accept on the consent banner. You can decline, and you can manage ad personalization at any time through Google's ad settings.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (such as page views), and Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in search. Analytics that rely on cookies respect your consent choice; aggregate, cookieless measurement may be used to keep the site running.
Your choices
The consent banner lets you accept or reject advertising and analytics cookies. Until you accept, those cookies stay off. You can also clear cookies in your browser at any time to reset your choice.
